Variants and Cables.
Depending on the Bang & Olufsen installation different cables are needed for connection. DabFmBlue5 is sold with different cable packages or with without cables. Choose the Variant matching your setup, for price and more information.

AUX Connect

DabFmBlue5 connects to a AUX input of any Bang & Olufsen Audiomaster (Radio).
The cable packet includes an IR-receiver that makes the DabFmBlue5 able to be controlled with a Bang & Olufsen remote control.

 

DabFmBlue5
Beolink Active PC

DabFmBlue5 connects to the PC input of a Beolink Active with this option.
Beolink Active are used in Link Rooms like a Bedroom, Kitchen or any other room, to make it possible to hear music from a main room (Living room).

  • With a DabFmBlue5 connected it is possible to listen to other music than the Main Room is listening to.
  • If there is no more a Bang & Olufsen system in the Main Room, it can bring back music to the Link Room speakers.

The cable packet includes cables that make use of the excisting IR-receiver for the DabFmBlue5.

Masterlink 1611, Beolink Converter

DabFmBlue5 connects to the Masterlink bus, via a Beolink Converter.
Any Link Room connected to the Masterlink Bus can control the DabFmBlue5.
This method can only be used if there is no Bang & Olufsen TV connected to the Masterlink.
The cable packet includes cables that connects DabFmBlue5 to the Beolink Converter.
A Beolink Converter and Masterlink Cable for this is NOT INCLUDED IN THE CABLE PACKAGE.
In these setups there can be many rooms with a mix of both Active and Passive Rooms. They will all share the same DabFmBlue5 receiver.

Same as above, only shown with a Beolink Active Link Room instead of a Beolink Passive.
